Woman of Achievement!

My Mom was recently awarded 2008 Woman of Achievement in Hartsville. She was nominated by her co-workers and she was totally shocked! We were able to come into the back of the Family Life Center at Lakeview Baptist Church to hear the presentation and to see her accept the award. We had some tired babies (it was really late at night) and they were the only children there, but we were all very happy to be a part in seeing her being honored for all of the hard work she does in her community!

Spaghetti Anyone?

What? I'm just eating like normal. And playing with my food as usual.
And smiling to make it all OK!
The sad thing is that he doesn't just make a mess with spaghetti - a meal for him is usually followed by taking all of his clothes off, removing the high chair cover to wash it, calling Katie to clean the floor, giving him a bath, putting on clean clothes, scrubbing the top to the high chair and mopping the floor that Katie worked really hard on cleaning - JUST SO I CAN DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN AFTER THE NEXT MEAL!

Stone Mountain Georgia

The Yellow Daisy Festival was in Stone Mountain again this year and we didn't want to miss it. We really enjoy camping and Preston really enjoys eating! This was right across from our camp site.
Trying to learn how to manage those steps!
Waiting to head to the mountain!
We are in line to ride up to the top of the mountain!
Is that a view or what?
We all needed sunglasses!
Miss Independent was not afraid of heights!
Her Daddy on the other hand was terrified at the sight of her walking that far away, so he had to rescue her!
We definitely are creatures of habit - last year after coming off of the mountain we had icees and this year was no different!

I could just eat him!
Making a penny on the top of the mountain
That was very exciting!
Preston's turn - with lots of help of course!
After riding back down to the bottom of the mountain, it was time to RIDE THE DUCKS!

Notice we are on land in the duck - see all of cars behind us?
Look Mom, no lands!! This is the craziest thing I have ever seen, but the driver just steps on the gas and in the water we go - it is great and the kids love it!
Yes, that's Ryan driving the duck!
And Presley socializing instead of watching the road - I mean water!
Preston just walked right up to the front - hopped into the seat and pretended like he had been driving for years!

Watching dancers at the Yellow Daisy Festival.
Cooling off and boy did it feel good!
Once again, she's not afraid of anything!
Riding the train at Stone Mountain - it takes you all the way around the mountain.

Preston sleeping on the train - he did the same exact thing last year!
At night, they have a huge laser light show on the side of the mountain with fireworks. This year, we actually put our blankets out that morning so we would have a great view of the mountain.
Oh and they have music, loud music and they loved dancing!
This is the next morning and everyone is up and ready to go, except this little guy. I guess he danced way too much last night!
