More fun in Chicago ~ October 27, 2008

I took Presley back to The Field Museum and let her play while Kevin was at "work"! First stop was the art room at The Children's Museum to make a skeleton. Then time to play with animals and corn!
This was her favorite - the microscope. She sat forever looking at all the different specimens.
Once she chose what to put under the microscope, she could look at it on a big screen.

Professor Presley!
Using her magnifying glass to look at a shell.
Turtle in the woods!
Now we're in the music room.

Playing with corn again! Who knew corn on the cob could be such a great toy!
And now it's fossil time.
She was intent on getting that fossil completely clean!
Outside the Shedd Aquarium.
We don't know what this was all about, but she sure was happy to see that fish!
What a face!
Getting her face painted.
She wanted a fishy and of course it had to be PINK.
Row, row, row your boat.
Outside in the cold again - I forgot what she was looking at!
It didn't take very long for her to go to sleep.
While she was napping - we were debating on what was happening here. I said that it's probably for Obama's celebration after he's elected President. We drove on by, but not knowing was killing Kevin so he went back around and pulled up to one of the workers and asked. I WAS RIGHT - who knew?
OK, she was very tired!
We ended the day at Dave and Buster's - our favorite place to play - I mean eat, no I do mean play!

The Windy City ~ October 26, 2008

Driving into the city. Yes, it was windy and very cold.
Top floor of the Sears Tower.
It's big!
Believe it or not, we're in McDonald's in downtown Chicago - great views!
Off to the Field Museum.
Presley was interested in everything.

We took Ryan to The Field Museum when he was little and he made an orange dinosaur out of plastic - he still has it. As we walked downstairs in the museum, we found this machine sitting in the same place it was when Ryan was with us.
Presley had her turn with the machine and believe it or not, she now has her very own orange dinosaur! Preston's turn next.
Next we were off to the Navy Pier. It was getting so cold outside, that we rode the ferris wheel first so we could be inside for everything else.

She really enjoyed the wheel and wanted to ride again.
We found a great dinner place at the pier - Bubba Gump's.

Presley was excited when they brought her food in a boat!
It was a long and fun day - time to go back to the hotel so we can rest and do it all again tomorrow!

Flying to Chicago! October 25, 2008

We are on the plane and ready to take off - Presley is waiting patiently for me to explain to her what I meant about the fact that we were going to fly up into the clouds!! I guess I did OK explaining it!

Happy Early Birthday! October 24, 2008

Presley and Preston were able to open some early birthday presents from Grandma & Grandpa before we left for Chicago. They loved the balloons and books, but the outfits that Grandma made were the best!

SC STATE FAIR ~ OCT. 13, 2008

These pictures are in random order - sorry!

We enjoyed the state fair on Columbus Day, along with the majority of SC! Ryan was in school, so he missed out on the fun today, but don't worry - WE WENT 3 TIMES! These babies love animals and are not afraid to touch any of them. I love the picture of Preston waiting patiently behind the red line for his turn to ride the "horsey" - it's actually shocking to me that he would stand still and wait for anything (notice he's holding his ticket)!
