Preston's Debut ~ November 21, 2007

Dreams really do come true! OK, so I'm a true believer that Disney is magical and yes to me it is the greatest place in the world (sad, but true)! I HAVE PICTURES TO PROVE IT! We took the kids to the Magic Kingdom on our first day in Florida. Preston was napping just 2 minutes before I took these pictures. Kevin, Ryan & Presley were on the Carousel of Progress (Kevin's favorite) and I decided to take Preston out of the stroller and let him stretch his legs. He's been standing and taking a few steps before this, but when I put him down this time, he just took off. I couldn't believe it (to all of his grandparents, I know you know exactly what I'm talking about). We are so blessed to have this little guy healthy and now walking. I know you are going to check out his legs first in this photo and I don't blame you! Can you believe how straight his foot is when he's walking? It just seems to have gotten better overnight and we are so thankful! No, the bow legs didn't go away, but he's still a keeper!

Stopping to dance a little jig!

As he was walking, he was getting a lot of attention. An employee of the Magic Kingdom came up to us and asked if this was his first visit. She gave him a "First Visit" pin and wrote his name and 2007 on it. He held on to it real tight as he continued to walk and would even stop to look at it - deep down I think he knew that this was a magical moment!
Don't worry - I caught him!
And off he went - pin in hand - straight feet - beautiful smile - what more could I ask for!
*Notice the people in the background "Preston watching". He had a crowd on all sides and Kevin, Ryan & Presley are back to share the moment.

Ryan's Debut ~ November 16, 2007

Kid's Praise (the choir group at our church) celebrated Christmas early this year and performed their "Operation Christmas Child" program for the annual Thanksgiving Dinner at Gateway. Ryan sang his first solo at the performance and he was awesome!
He was so nervous before the performance, but he was determined to do his best and he did. He sang the part of Jesus in First John 3:16 and he was very proud of himself!
He had the sweetest sounding voice as he sang and I thought his Daddy was going to cry!
Presley enjoyed dancing and singing at the show! Preston enjoyed the food the most - I guess I didn't get a picture of him because he was too busy eating and eating and eating.......

Presley's Debut ~ November 3, 2007

Presley was in her first pageant on November 3rd at the Art Museum in downtown Columbia! It was the Carolina Carillon Parade Pageant, which is our state's annual Christmas parade! Presley was the hit of the show in her candy cane themewear outfit and yes she won!She was very proud of her 2 trophies and after winning them, she ran down the hall as fast as she could saying "Look Daddy, my trophies, Look Daddy, Look Daddy". We were all very proud of her for doing such a great job in her first pageant. She was 1st r-up in party dress and she says she's ready to "do a other pagshent"! I'm just not so sure her Mom & Dad are ready for it!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM MICKEY & MINNIE!

We were very lucky to be able to borrow Mickey & Minnie from Disney for Halloween this year. You will be happy to know that we will personally return them to Florida when we head that way for Thanksgiving! Minnie is really excited about that - Mickey could care less - and the biggest kid in the picture (dressed as "The Daddy" for Halloween) is more excited than anyone!

What could be more fun than carving a pumpkin in your pajamas with your Daddy?

Their masterpiece up close!

We all went to the Harvest Festival at our church, where the kids were able to Trunk-or-Treat and see a magic show. They also had hay rides and Presley loved the big blow up jump and bounce contraption! She repeatedly said "I jumping, I jumping"!

Minnie really liked the camera tonight, as long as she was the only one in the picture!

And finally, the best part of the night, CANDY, CANDY & MORE CANDY!

HOPE EVERYONE HAD A HAPPY HALLOWEEN - WE SURE DID!
